Rules for Consignment of Clothes:

2) Do NOT bring clothes that are folded in a tote/box or tight plastic bag. We recommend lying them flat on hangers over a hard lid (tote cover) or carrying them in on hangers.

Rules for Consignment of Non-Hangables:

1) Everything must be disinfected and cleaned BEFORE arrival with all of the original pieces.

2) You can bring in a maximum of one reusable grocery bag (or equivalent volume) that can be emptied into one of our baskets.

3) Batteries must be included. Otherwise we will not accept the item(s).

4) Books must be in “like-new" condition  (no writing in them, no bent corners, no torn pages, no stickers).

TERMS OF CONSIGNMENT SALES

  1. All items brought in to be consigned shall be in “like-new” or “gently worn” condition: no stains, no holes, no missing buttons, no pills, odor-free, wrinkle-free, and zippers are to be working properly. Due to the lack of space, we can only accept clothes in season and in current style. We reserve the right to refuse any item.

  2. Closet Treasures will receive 50% of the selling price and the consignor will receive 50% of the selling price. Accounts will be updated weekly. The consignor can pick up their share of the selling price on any business day and must sign for any money received.

  3. Closet Treasures will price the item and leave it at that price for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, the item’s price will be reduced 50% for an additional 30 days. After 60 days, the consignor will either pick up any unsold item (which the consignor must come in and locate) or the item will be either donated to a non-profit organization or it will be reduced 80%.

  4. No appointment is necessary to bring items in but we ONLY ACCEPT CONSIGNMENT ON FRIDAY AND SUNDAY.  We look at the items while you are present and let you know before you leave if we can accept these items. You MUST bring your items in on hangers as they are easier to examine - if you need hangers, please let us know.

  5. Closet Treasures will do their best to safeguard all items left on consignment; however, it is understood that all merchandise is left at the owner’s risk. Closet Treasures is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

  6. It is understood that by signing the agreement, I have read the above terms and agree to them.
